Having a Wonka party? Think differently about how you’re approaching food. Forget changing the taste of food, change your taste buds so the food tastes different! What you’ll have is what we call a flavour tripping party. These cool little berry pills (totally natural) cause sour foods to taste sweet!
Here’s how it works. The berry (which is dehydrated and ground down into the pill form) has a molecule call miraculin. When taken, this molecule binds itself to your tongue’s taste buds, activating the sweet receptors. When you take the pill, don’t chew it. Just roll it around your mouth so it covers your tonuge as much as possible until it’s dissolved. It’ll last around 30 minutes.
All I could think when I was doing this was, I wish high school science was like this.
Completely altering your tastebuds causing you to crave lemons was pretty crazy and cool. For this very reason though, follow this party menu, so flavours are served in small serves.
Like finger food, not only does it make it gorgeous to present, it also controls everyone from wanting to eat whole lemons and having stomach aches afterwards.
Here’s a sample list of some of the foods you could put on your menu.
